Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 Premium Style, and Strong Small Pickup Truck

At the 2016 Detroit Motor Show; Jeep head honcho Mike Manley confirmed that a pickup version of the Wrangler is currently being developed. The Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will share the same platform as the Jeep Wrangler SUV and will have the same interior, exterior and engine features. It will only be available as a crew cabin short bed configuration. Built for off-road driving, the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will also have great fuel efficiency and advanced gasoline and diesel engines that have low carbon emissions. It has been built for the outdoors, although it also does pretty well on the highways. The rugged, aggressive look has been maintained and been enhanced to look more muscular and menacing. This will be a strong vehicle with greater towing capacity than most pickup trucks.

The most noticeable feature about the exterior of the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 is the cargo bed that will be constructed from plastic composites so as to save on weight, the inside lining will also be made of plastic. The rest of the exterior features resemble those of the standard Wrangler including round LED headlights, a front grille with a slight slant at the top, an enormous molded plastic park bench bumper and a steep windshield that improves aerodynamics and reduces drag when accelerating. Round fog lights attach to the bumper. The rear bumper will also be plastic with a tow hook and an optional receiver hitch hanging from it. This truck is also expected to have a permanent roof structure with removable panels; these panels allow the jeep to have an open roof when the weather is pleasant or if the driver wants better air circulation. The sides will have body color door handles and a spare tire carrier on the left side. The 21-inch wheels with quality all weather tires will be standard to enable this truck maneuver through any off-road terrain with ease.

The interior of the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will be refined and comfortable. Some aspects from older Wranglers like a removable carpet and drain plugs on the floorboard still remain, though. The cabin is spacious and comfortable so all five passengers that can fit in it getting ample legroom and headroom. All seats have tight weave quality fabric covers with the front seats adjustable and heated. The dashboard gets the most changes with all the gadgets being within reach of the driver. There are keyless entry and ignition and a heated power steering with a leather cover for better grip. The infotainment system will run on the latest Chrysler 8.4 Uconnect system that controls aspects like navigation, audio, a dual-zone climate system, vehicle settings, Bluetooth, and smartphone integration. There will also be an 8.4-inch touchscreen display to control all these aspects and a TFT display for detailed driver information. Safety features include traction control, tire pressure monitors, blind spot monitoring, collision sensors, automatic braking and a lane departure warning system.

Under the hood, the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will share the same drivetrains as the Wrangler SUV. There will be a 3.6 liter V6 Pentastar engine as the base powertrain and it outputs 300 hp and 270-pound feet of torque. This will be an all wheel drive engine and it will be mated with a ZF 8 speed automatic transmission gearbox. The second option is expected to be a 3.0 liter V6 EcoDiesel engine that 240 hp and much better torque of 420 lb-ft. This will also be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with buyers having an option of choosing from an all wheel or two wheel drive.  For suspension, the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will see solid axles make a return giving this truck a solid foundation and great stability. This Wrangler pickup will come with a standard part-time transfer case foregoing electronic shifting; this manual shift lever engages the front axle and the transfer case will allow 4 driving modes: rear wheel, neutral, four-wheel drive high range and four wheel drive low range. With all the weight that has been reduced fuel efficiency has gone up and this truck is EPA rated at an average of 18 miles per gallon.

Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 – Availability and Cost:

It is expected that the Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck 2018 will be in showrooms in the second half of 2018 retailing at a starting price of $32,000. This will make it competitive in the current class of midsized trucks with competition expected to come from the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road and the Chevrolet Colorado Z71.
